memories

My friend Molly always had the greatest birthday parties. Her birthday was in the fall (maybe October??) and we would have a sleepover every year. And every year her mom would buy a huge case of toilet paper. After the sun set, her parents would drive Molly, Amanda, Courtney, Lisa, myself, and whoever else around to toilet paper people's houses. Then we would have a bonfire and eat too much and talk about silly things all night long. (Except the last year when I had to leave at 4 AM to take someone home. Hahaha) Aahh...the memories.

In case you didn't know...

Isaac has been in the hospital since Sunday night. Karl and Jenn were planning on leaving for Florida Monday morning and Sunday night Isaac was running a fever of 103. They took him to the hospital where it was 105. He was transferred via ambulance to another hospital. He has been spiking temps on and off for the last couple of days. We are praying that it is just a virus and for a speedy recovery. Get well soon, little Iceman.

Vermont Part 1

Our trip to Vermont was amazing. I'm ready to move there. What's not to love?? Hiking, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, mountain biking, maple syrup, Ben and Jerry's and Subaru's galore! (By the way, did anyone know that Subaru backwards is U R A Bus? Karl told me that one). Besides all that there's Champ, the "Loch Ness Monster" of Lake Champlain. Hey, they made a believer out of me. I'm sure I saw him as we were flying out. (This picture is NOT of Champ, by the way. That's Corey taking a hike.)

It was great to get Natalie and Isaac together. You know, it seemed like a fun idea at the time, but the fun lasted for a few minutes before someone got a love bite from someone else and that first someone started crying. Fun over.

Twice we were asked if they were twins. Besides the fact that he is twice her size, (maybe he was the parasite twin??) he sleeps and she doesn't. Corey and I were amazed when we saw him actually fall asleep in his high chair or his stoller or his bed.

Another highlight was seeing our friends, Josh and Jodi. They actually live in Iowa, but happened to be there at the same time for a wedding.

I will be posting a few more pictures from the trip over the next couple days. Oh...and Natalie did great on the planes. As long as she has an audience, she usually does well. She was smiling and flirting with the people all around us and that kept her occupied. Honestly, she gets more and more like her dad every day.
