Nuttin like a little Buttercup to make a girl feel better
Today Natalie got Buttercup in the mail, a late birthday present from Corey's mom. It was pretty exciting and just a little bit scary. In other news, the cats have found the best seat in the house and rarely move from the spot.
Baby Face
So I'm afraid that Natalie is growing a she-mullet. But what do you do? I don't want to cut her curls in the back. I may try to start doing a comb-over. It works for Trump. And as we say in our house, what works for Trump works for us. (Just kidding). I'm fired.
Happy Thanksgiving
This year we are thankful for sleep. Last year on the night before Thanksgiving, Natalie stayed awake until 4:00 AM. She was so scared she was going to miss the turkey. Thanks to Auntie Jess for the great pictures!
Its an Amish world after all
So Natalie and I joined Gramma Dolly and AC and Melissa for some wild times in Napannee, Indiana this weekend. For those of you who don't know, Napannee is Amish country and home of a recent major tornado. It was amazing to see the destruction it left. Before we went there, Natalie thought it would be fun to be Amish. After spending a few hours there, she realized that being Amish is not all bonnets and horseriding. She was willing to give up wearing pants, but she would not tolerate having to give up her fancy pink shoes. So that is that. On a side note, there is not a single picture taken of from the trip of anything remotely Amish. We have a video game, a couple of playing ball, and one of a bonnet wearing Natalie with Melissa (PS, Amish bonnets are NOT really pink).
I've seen this look before
Usually it's when I'm about to get in trouble with my dad. Perhaps I had made fun of him playing hands under the door with blind sea captains. Perhaps I saw it the time I unsuccessfully tried to run across a muddy field in my boots and he had to come rescue me. Perhaps it was the time Karl and I were doing a skit at church (about a kid being kidnapped) and we couldn't stop giggling. Yep. I've seen the look before. Natalie looks just like Grandpa there.
To my friend, Miss Vonna (aka Tanya)
Thanks for the jammies and I'm sorry I pushed you at church.
Love, Natalie
