Sweet Potato Pie
According to my expert sources, Baby J. is now the size of a sweet potato.
Happy Birthday, Jode Star Ranch
Yesterday, the 18th, was my friend Jodi's 28th Birf-day. I met Jodi when I was a wee lass of 18 years old. We worked together at Office Depot. Years later, I introduced her to a handsome lad and he whisked her off to the beautiful land of Iowa. You just don't meet friends like Jodi every day. In fact, she's the kind of friend who leaves a huge hole in your life when she leaves, and it is never actually filled up again. So many memories, I have to list a few.
-Denise Hueschle throwing keys at Jodi's face.
-Carlos having "the hots for my mots".
-almost dying in a car crash because we had to go to Holland for Dairy Queen.
-Paul ruining every Aerosmith song for us ever (singing with his green teeth and all).
-Setting someone's aunt's bedspread on fire.
-Parties with Tim and Leah
-Brazil and our driver (remember the new words you taught him?)
Well Jodi, I hope that you had a really great day. I miss you tons and I can't wait to see you this summer.
New from Leisure South
Besides the usual sing-a-longs and dance parties, things have been pretty exciting here at Leisure South.
1. My neighbor came and got me the other day to let me know that a duck had made her home in the bushes. She laid 12 tiny eggs and was looking a little exhausted while perching atop them. My neighbor is very concerned that a cat will come and make a snack of it. My girls don't go out to except on a leash, but Mia sure does love omelettes.
2. My car got broken into AGAIN. There is nothing in it to steal. Maybe I should just leave a note on it with an itemized list of all the junk to save people the trouble.
3. A new neighbor moved in and had quite a large party. Cars were even parked out on the street.
4. We haven't told them yet, but Corey and I will be moving in June. We are in the process of buying a house in Alger Heights. We should be closing next week.
